Hey - I'm in an Art Exhibition!

Tonight we were at 'As We See' an exhibition of photographic portraits from a community arts project supported by the Dublin Docklands Development Authority in partnership with the South Docks Festival ..
here is the little man and me with the Chief Executive of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority - Paul Maloney and the Governor of Mountjoy Prison - John Lonergan, who officially opened the exhibition.

The little man's auntie had done the photography course and had some fabulous photos on display. I was in one, of course, with the little man!! We'll get the official framed photos when the exhibition closes at the weekend - courtesy of the little man's aunt! Thank you very much, Auntie Anne! But this evening, after the exhibition was over we just took a quick walk around the newly regenerated Docklands area ....

the whole area has been superbly redeveloped with fantastic pieces of sculpture!

The Edge from U2 lives in the penthouse apartment just above the restaurant Ely HQ where the exhibition was on - I'm looking right up at his apartment - big U2 fans in this house!

Anyway, after that we headed home .... we just have to mention though that Dublin beat Kildare at the weekend to become Leinster Champions for the 5th year in a row ..... we were so excited - its taken us a few days to recover .....

75,000 fans roaring on the Dubs - okay, there were a few Kildare supporters there as well ....

the little man and his mom and me worn out at the end of the game ......

roll on the quarter-finals of the Championship - someone mentioned tonight that they might have to come home early from Boston because the match is the first weekend in August and he doesn't want to miss it!! There were 'words' tonight about that, I can tell you!

Up the Dubs anyway!!

Hey there, Clive
My, my...you and little man seem to be rubbing shoulders with some Very Important Peoples! And you do seem to get around to see some very interesting places too! We just love the happy photos of the two of you. You make a really great team!
And the rugby...well, as you know, we love rugby too and its the 'Currie Cup' happening here at the moment. Unfortunately we don't get to see many live matches, but the TV is adequate for us in this cold weather.
Take care and lots of licks to the little man

Hear there was a little bit of stink at the match?
Looking forward to seeing what's behind the hoarding at Quays. Will be lovely to see Dublin taking advantage of the lovely Liffey. I just can't understand why Irish Towns turn their backs on water. xx

You would be referring to the very unfortunate sending off of a Dublin player!! Very biased referring - that's what we say!!

Dublin still managed to win with a man down!! Nothing like the Dubs!

(we're still on a bit of a high!)

So you are an art celebrity now too - congrats!!! Looks like another fun trip for the family. Can't you ask them to delay the game rather than shortening the vacation? ;-)

Woo, the OP Pack

Love the sculptures on the dock. They've done something similar down in Gothenburg too.

And well done you - the star of an Art Exhibition! How cool is that for you and the Little Man!

Hey Clive!

Always knew you and little man were a couple of masterpieces—and now you've been framed!

Tell your Mum that my Mommy has those exact same FitFlops (plus a pair in red and a brand-new pair with bronze sequins -sheesh!). Is your family looking forward to their trip to Boston? No worries about being left behind...there's a certain single Goldendoodle lady coming to the wedding that I want to introduce to you....

Your pal,

Petey

There is a pretty good American Football team in Boston and one of their best players is named Tom Brady. He was hurt last year in the first game of the season and didn't play again because he needed to have surgery to fix his leg. Mr.Beckham is back playing euopean football (soccer0 in Los Angeles; the news paper say he doesn't like playing here.
Tomorrow is the 40th anniversary of the Appollo 11 moon landings; time flys when we're having fun. Our dad is from Boston. Don't forget to visit Old Ironsides (USS Constitution) the oldest commissioned ship in the U.S, Navy, at the Charletown Navy Yard. There are a lot of historic sites from the American Revolution or the Colonial War.
