Clive met James Joyce on Tuesday ... (and that was quite some likeness to Mr Joyce yesterday in Petey's art review!) and Sean O'Casey and a few more famous Irish writers ... The girls decided who to meet next ... (cousin Soline is visiting from France) so guess who she wanted to see .... "Oui, c'est General de Gaulle!" Murray meanwhile took Clive down to the basement to the Dungeon of Horrors! He loved Dracula! All that blood and the wooden stake through the heart just fascinated him! as did Frankenstein (the only time Clive has ever barked on duty was at Frankenstein on Tuesday and you really couldn't blame him!) He felt much more at home in this room full of politicians - he could think of plenty of things to get 'political' about! However, in the presence of the Rev Ian Paisley, Britsh Prime Minister John Major, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, George Mitchell and John Hume - he decided just to pose along with the men behind the 'Good Friday Agreement'. This Agreement signed in 1998 finally brought peace to Northern Ireland. Murray was much more interested in this little yellow sponge he met down the corridor - yes, it's Spongebob Squarepants! We did eventually get to move away from Spongebob!
But only because Bob the Builder was around the corner ... Yes, we were quite some time with Bob and his cat! Murray was so happy here that it was difficult to move him on ...
Eventually though we got to leave the National Wax Museum. This new interactive museum in Temple Bar in Dublin was great fun. The museum is housed in the historic landmark Armoury Building which was the home to Ireland's bullion and arms stores.
Clive and Murray will be back .....
That looks like such a great place. Our humans have visited the equivalent in London and it is quite spooky how good the likenesses are....!
ReplyDeleteWe thought Dracula looked very scary. Murray was very brave.
We love Bob the Builder - we were thinking of you today when we saw a little video of Bob the Builder along with others!
It was the 2009 Children in Need video with Peter Kay. You have probably seen it but if not check it out on You Tube, Murray would love it.
